Kylie Price sold out London show in pictures
A night of snacks, stories and emotional honesty
On the 18th of November, Kylie Price sold out The Libra Theatre Café in London, turning the underground space into something warm, intimate, and unmistakably Kylie.
Kylie is a fantastic singer and a magical guitar player, but what truly sets her apart is her ability to tap into emotion and tell a story through her songs. Her hour-long set invited the audience into her life, touching on dreams, long-ago mistakes, and the love of her life. At times, she even coaxed the typically shy crowd (who wouldn’t be, when you’re up against that voice) into a couple of singalongs.
The performance was stripped back; just Kylie, her guitar, and the occasional addition of backing percussion from opener Brother Castor. That simplicity left plenty of space for connection. Whenever a moment began to grip the room, Kylie would break it with an awkward joke, a flash of her Kiwi charm, or a pause to shower the crowd in sweets and snacks. Front and centre throughout the night was her maturity as a singer and songwriter; everything else simply added to the sense of fun. It was a show full of personality, warmth, and the kind of beautifully intimate, raw honesty that’s rare to come across on stage these days.
If you get the chance to see Kylie Price live, take it – it’s a real treat.
