The Molotovs announce second album ‘Welcome To Urbia’ with new single

The Molotovs have announced their second album, Welcome To Urbia, just six months after their debut Wasted On Youth reached No.3 in the UK album charts.

The announcement arrives alongside the album’s first single, ‘Urbia’, a driving, industrial-leaning track recorded at London’s Konk Studios and produced by Tony Hoffer, whose credits include Beck, The Kooks and M83.

Set for release on 9 April 2027, Welcome To Urbia marks the next chapter for siblings Matt and Issey Cartlidge, who have gone from street busking to chart success, a performance on The Jonathan Ross Show and an arena support slot with Yungblud in just a year.

‘Urbia’ takes inspiration from the towns the band have encountered during their relentless touring schedule, having played almost 700 shows over the last five years.

The announcement comes as The Molotovs begin their UK Welcome To Urbia headline tour, with limited tickets remaining for Leeds, Glasgow and a second O2 Forum Kentish Town date. The band will also support Razorlight later this year, including at OVO Arena Wembley on 4 December.
