Run With Mo: Sir Mo Farah Joins BST Hyde Park Open House

While the massive weekend headliners like Garth Brooks and Lewis Capaldi grab the lion's share of the headlines, the BST Hyde Park Open House midweek programme continues to be the best way to experience the Great Oak Stage without the stadium-sized chaos. This year’s standout addition sees Olympic legend Sir Mo Farah CBE heading to the park on Tuesday, 30 June for a unique 3km "conversational run."

True to the accessible ethos of the Open House series, the event is designed for all abilities. Mo, alongside coach Adam Clarke (URUNN), will lead a mass warm-up on the main stage before taking runners on a scenic 3km loop through the park. Every finisher walks away with a commemorative souvenir medal, which is a decent trade-off for a bit of Tuesday evening cardio.

Once the trainers are off, the event pivots to a live Q&A session. Mo will join host Nihal Arthanayake on the Great Oak Stage to discuss his journey from Somaliland to becoming Britain’s greatest distance runner – a narrative of resilience that carries just as much weight as any rock ‘n’ roll comeback story. With DJs on site and the usual top-tier street food stalls open, it’s a rare chance to share a stride with a 10-time global champion in a relaxed, sun-soaked environment..

Tickets go on general sale this Friday, 24 April at 10am, starting at £29.50. Whether you’re a serious runner or just fancy a cheeky jog followed by a Q&A with a legend, head over to bst-hydepark.com/open-house to grab a spot.
